Person hit, killed by vehicle on Central Ave in International District

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Friday morning following a pedestrian crash in Albuquerque’s International District, according to KOB4.

Albuquerque Police said the fatal incident occurred near Central Avenue and Laguayra Drive Northeast at around 5:00 a.m.

The circumstances of the event remain undisclosed at this time, but officials confirmed the victim was struck by a vehicle and died from their injuries at the scene.

A section of Central Avenue from Cardenas to San Pedro was blocked off during the emergency response and investigation, which remains underway.
