Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on Lomas Boulevard in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Albuquerque Police Department responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning, according to KRQE.

The incident took place on Lomas Boulevard near Juan Tabo Boulevard just after 5 a.m. A preliminary investigation indicated that a pedestrian was crossing Lomas Boulevard from south to north when they were struck b a Dodge 1500 pickup truck going eastbound.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. Investigators said the victim was not using a crosswalk at the time of the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by the department’s Fatal Traffic Unit.

Accident blocks lane on Interstate 40 at San Fidel interchange

CIBOLA COUNTY, NM – The New Mexico Department of Transportation notified drivers of a crash impacting traffic in Cibola County on Thursday afternoon.

An advisory on NMRoads at 4:22 p.m. stated that the incident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 100 at the San Fidel interchange.

Motorists were advised to drive with caution, reduce speed, and obey all posted traffic signs.

Man critically injured in Sunland Park motorcycle crash

SUNLAND PARK, NM – A man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, the Sunland Park Fire Department reported.

Crews responded to a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision on Country Club Road. A man in his mid-20s was flown to University Medical Center with critical injuries by El Paso Fire Department FireStar.

Country Club Road was closed in both directions for about an hour while the Sunland Park Police Department conducted its investigation.
