ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A pedestrian died late Sunday night after being hit by a driver while crossing a road in Albuquerque’s Bel-Air area, according to KRQE.
Albuquerque police responded to the scene at the corner of Menaul Boulevard Northeast and Carlisle Boulevard Northeast shortly after 11:30 p.m.
An early investigation shows the victim was crossing at the intersection when they were struck by an eastbound 2013 Hyundai.
An investigation remains in progress, but authorities said “pedestrian error” appears to have been a factor in the fatal crash. No intoxication was suspected, and no charges have been filed against the driver.
