Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle in Chaves County

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – Authorities responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in Chaves County on Wednesday night.

According to a post by the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office at 8:16 p.m., the accident happened on Buffalo Valley Road east of Lake Arthur.

The pedestrian struck by the vehicle was transported by helicopter to a medical facility. No details were released on the extent of their injuries. New Mexico State Police were also at the scene as part of the investigation.

3 hurt in crash involving alleged drunk driver on Highway 118

MCKINLEY COUNTY, NM – A driver was arrested following a crash in McKinley County on Friday, the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The MCSO said it responded to the incident on Highway 118 and Turtle Butte at the McGaffey exit. The sheriff’s office said it arrested a drunk driver after failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

Three other occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Accident shuts down lane at Paseo del Norte and 2nd Street

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert following an accident in Albuquerque on Tuesday afternoon.

In an advisory shortly before 4 p.m., the BCSO said its deputies were on the scene of a crash in the area of Paseo del Norte Boulevard and 2nd Street. The #3 lane on Paseo del Norte eastbound was closed while the wreck was being cleared.
