Pedestrian hospitalized after vehicle crash in Albuquerque’s Valley Gardens area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was hurt Tuesday night due to a pedestrian versus vehicle crash on Coors Boulevard in southwest Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported at the intersection with Gun Club Road Southwest, in the city’s Valley Gardens neighborhood. Deputies responded to the scene some time before 8:32 p.m.

While officials have not said what caused the accident, the involved pedestrian was transported to an area hospital. The severity of the patient’s condition was not immediately clear, but they were last listed in stable condition.

All northbound lanes of Coors Boulevard Southwest (New Mexico State Road 45) south of Gun Club Road were closed during the response. Part of westbound Gun Club Road, east of Coors Boulevard, was also blocked off.

As of this writing, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed any pending charges.


APD dispatched to crash on I-40 WB at Carlisle Blvd in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle accident was reported Tuesday evening on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque’s Altura Addition area, according to APD Traffic.

The collision took place on the westbound lanes of I-40 at Carlisle Boulevard Northeast (Exit 160). It was first reported at 6:11 p.m., after officers had already arrived on the scene.

Department officials have not released any information indicating the cause of the crash, the types of vehicles involved, or any potential injuries.

5-vehicle wreck reported on Rio Bravo Blvd in south Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — As many as five vehicles were involved in a crash early Tuesday evening in south Albuquerque’s San Jose area, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say the accident occurred at the intersection of Rio Bravo Boulevard (NM-500) and Broadway Boulevard Southeast (NM-47). Deputies responded to the scene some time before the initial 5:11 p.m BCSO report.

The circumstances behind the multi-vehicle crash remain unclear, but no significant injuries have been reported.

Part of eastbound Rio Bravo Boulevard, as well as a span of southbound Broadway Boulevard, was closed during the response and investigation.

Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
