ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person suffered serious injuries Monday night when they were hit by a driver on Edith Boulevard in north Albuquerque, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
BCSO officials responded to the scene at the intersection with Los Ranchos Road Northeast, near Mount Carmel Cemetery. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 8:43 p.m.
The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, but first responders rushed the victim to UNM Hospital in serious condition.
A section of Edith Boulevard was shut down in both directions. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes around the scene.
