ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died late last Friday following a pedestrian crash in Albuquerque’s South Los Altos neighborhood, reports KOAT.
The incident unfolded in the area of Copper Avenue Northeast and Espejo Street Northeast at about 10:00 p.m.
Albuquerque Police said the victim was in the eastbound lanes of Copper Avenue Northeast when they were hit and fatally injured by a white Dodge Ram truck was heading eastbound.
No other information about the circumstances of the event or pending charges has been provided, but APD officials said intoxication is not a suspected factor.
At the time of KOAT’s report, the Dodge Ram pickup truck was in APD custody and was being processed as part of the investigation.
