Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle on I-40 in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – New Mexico State Police were dispatched to a pedestrian fatality in Albuquerque on Monday morning, KRQE reported.

The accident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound between Louisiana Boulevard and Wyoming Boulevard, where the victim was struck by a vehicle shortly before 5 a.m.

Eastbound I-40 was shut down in the area due to the crash, which remains under investigatin by NMSP.

Crash causes closures, delays on Interstate 25 south

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Drivers were alerted to a crash affecting traffic on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque on Monday afternoon.

According to a notification on NMRoads at about 3 p.m., the wreck took place on I-25 south at mile marker 228 in the area of Montgomery Boulevard.

The right lane and right shoulder of the interstate were closed while the scene was being cleared. Drivers were advised to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the area.

Man injured after being struck by vehicle at Clovis intersection

CLOVIS, NM – Police in Clovis are investigating a collision at an intersection that left a pedestrian hospitalized.

A release from the Clovis Police Department states that the incident took place Feb. 18 at about 9 p.m. in the area of Prince Street and Texas Street.

The driver of a Nissan Altima reported that he was traveling south on Prince Street in the outside lane when he struck the pedestrian. The victim, identified as 33-year-old Colby Brown, was found in the roadway and was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center. He was later transferred to a hospital in Texas and was listed in stable condition.

The driver told police he did not see anyone in the roadway before the crash. He stopped immediately and realized he had struck a person, and contacted police to report the incident.

Clovis police and emergency personnel from the Clovis Fire Department responded to the incident.
