
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died early Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Central Avenue Southeast in east Albuquerque, according to KOB4.
Albuquerque Police responded to the scene at Eubank Boulevard Northeast, in the city’s South Los Altos neighborhood, just after 5:30 a.m.
The circumstances of the incident remain unclear, but officers arrived to find the victim laying in the roadway after an apparent pedestrian crash.
Officials pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
A section of Central Avenue was closed at Moon Street Northeast, eight blocks west of Eubank Boulevard, during an investigation.
At this time, no charges have been reported, and it is not publicly known whether the driver stayed at the scene.
