Pedestrian fatally hit by driver on Wyoming Blvd in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was fatally injured Tuesday night in a pedestrian crash on Wyoming Boulevard in northeast Albuquerque, according to KRQE.

Albuquerque Police responded to the scene at Menaul Boulevard, near Tony Hillerman Public Library in the city’s Inez area. The crash was first reported by KRQE at 10:59 p.m.

Officials did not disclose what led up to the incident, but one pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital. The victim later died from their injuries.

It was unclear whether the driver stayed after the crash or fled the scene.

All southbound lanes of Wyoming Boulevard were blocked in the area during the response.

An investigation was underway.
