SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A motorcyclist suffered injuries Wednesday night after a collision with a car on U.S. Route 66 near west Edgewood, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene at Barton Road, near Route 66 Elementary School, in the city’s Pleasant Valley area, shortly before 10:27 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but authorities said the motorcyclist sustained an apparent compound femur fracture.
No other injuries were reported.
Delays were expected in the area as the highway (also known as New Mexico State Road 333) was blocked in both directions.
