Officials release name of bicyclist killed near Montgomery Heights

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, officials have provided the name of the woman who died in an auto vs. bicycle collision near Carlisle Boulevard and Delamar Avenue on July 22.

The driver of a black Ford Fiesta was heading south on Carlisle Boulevard when they hit Kayla Vanlandingham, 19, as she attempted to cross the road around 2 p.m.

First responders transported Vanlandingham to an area hospital, where she died.

Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

2 dead after driver hits light pole on New Mexico 478 in Vado

VADO, NM – Two people died in a single-vehicle collision on the 8100 block of New Mexico 478 on Sunday, according to KOAT.

A driver strayed off the road and slammed into a light pole before coming to rest in the front yard of a home around 6:50 p.m.

Two occupants of the vehicle died in the crash.

Officials have not released the victims’ names.

Deputies respond to wreck near Capital Valley Estates in Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, NM – According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a crash near New Mexico 333 and New Mexico 217 on Sunday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 9:36 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
