Officer collides with another vehicle near Westgate Heights

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, an Albuquerque police officer crashed his vehicle into another car near Snow Vista Boulevard SW and Sage Road SW on Monday night, February 10.

Officials say the officer was responding to another wreck at around 6:39 p.m.. He was heading north on Snow Vista Boulevard SW when he slammed into the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man. The victim vehicle was entering Snow Vista from the Walmart parking lot near Sage Road SW.

First responders transported the other driver to an area hospital in stable condition. The officer sustained minor injuries.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Driver hits, kills woman near Evans Addition

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A driver fatally collided with a woman near Zuni Road SE and Ortiz Drive SE on Monday night, according to KRQE.

The driver hit the victim at around 10:00 p.m. Officials say emergency crews found the woman lying in the street, “across lanes of traffic.” She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Officials have not released the victim’s name at this time. No information regarding the driver has been released, and the involved vehicle has only been described as an “unidentified white car” that may be a truck or a sedan.

Emergency crews respond to crash in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, first responders were called to the scene of an accident on northbound Interstate 25 at Jefferson Street NE on Monday afternoon.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 3:05 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
