Officer collides with another vehicle near Westgate Heights

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, an Albuquerque police officer hit another vehicle near Snow Vista Blvd SW and Sage Rd SW on Monday.

The officer was responding to another wreck around 6:39. He was heading north on Snow Vista Blvd SW when he slammed into the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man. The man was entering Snow Vista from the Walmart parking lot near Sage Rd SW.

First responders transported the car driver to an area hospital in stable condition. The officer sustained minor injuries.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Driver hits, kills woman near Evans Addition

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A driver fatally collided with a woman near Zuni Rd SE and Ortiz Dr SE on Monday, according to KRQE.

The driver hit the victim around 10 p.m. Emergency crews found the woman lying in the street. They pronounced her dead at the scene.

Officials have not released the victim’s name or a description of the suspect’s vehicle.

Emergency crews respond to crash in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, first responders were called to the scene of an accident at I-25 NB and Jefferson St NE on Monday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 3:05 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
