CIBOLA COUNTY, NM — A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked both northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 40 near southeast Grants, reports KRQE.
The accident happened at mile marker 85, near the East Santa Fe Avenue exit.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck or what vehicles were involved, but traffic was being diverted around the scene as New Mexico State Police responded. Motorists were warned of significant delays and advised to seek alternate routes.
Authorities have not released any information regarding potential injuries.
