
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Monday night after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 25 in northeast Albuquerque, according to KOB.
Officials responded to the scene on the northbound lanes near Montgomery Boulevard Northeast (Exit 228), near the Montgomery Heights neighborhood.
It remains unclear what caused the fatal incident or whether the involved driver stayed after the crash.
The entire northbound interstate was shut down as crews responded. Drivers were asked to divert onto Frontage Road.
No other information has been disclosed, as New Mexico State Police continue to investigate.
