ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A pedestrian was severely injured after they were hit by a car yesterday, according to KRQE.
The Albuquerque Police Department responded to the accident at Montgomery Boulevard and Washington Street.
According to bystanders, the pedestrian stepped out from the median of the road and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Authorities report that the cause of the wreck is not likely to be alcohol or speed. We will be following this story as the APD continues to investigate.
