ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A person driving a motorcycle was hurt Sunday after they were struck by a sedan, according to KRQE.

A motorcycle was driving south on Coors Boulevard towards the intersection with Hanover Road when it switched to the middle lane. A gray Toyota sedan attempted to turn onto westbound Hanover Road, striking the motorcycle on its side.

The person on the motorcycle sustained serious head injuries and was hospitalized. The Albuquerque Police Department reported the accident at about 3:27 a.m. Sunday.

The Albuquerque Police Department has ruled out alcohol as a factor in the accident but believes that the Toyota was traveling at excessive speeds.
