MCKINLEY COUNTY, NM – Police are looking into the cause of a collision involving multiple cars near Prewitt, according to KRQE.
The cars were driving eastbound on I-40 when they were involved in the crash. Officers with the New Mexico State Police arrived at the scene of the wreck near the 93-mile marker.
It’s unclear whether the crash injured any passengers.
Authorities directed motorists off of I-40 at Exit 53 towards State Road 122 as local crews worked to clear the crash site.
