GUADALUPE COUNTY, NM – A driver and one passenger of a truck were killed after the vehicle struck a cow last weekend, KOB 4 reports.
A man was traveling on I-40 last Friday when his 2017 Peterbilt ran into a cow that was in the middle of the road. The vehicle swerved from the road, struck a barrier, and overturned.
Authorities responded to the accident in the eastbound lane near the 301-mile marker at approximately 1:58 a.m.
The Peterbilt’s driver and its passenger were both pronounced deceased at the crash site. The New Mexico State Police report that there were no other causes of the accident.
