ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A teenager has died from his injuries in a hit-and-run accident that took place on Sunday, KRQE reports.
The two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene at Rio Bravo Boulevard and Isleta Boulevard.
One of the pedestrians, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced deceased after he was taken to an area hospital. It’s unknown if the other pedestrian is in stable condition.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the car that struck the two victims.
The Traffic Investigation Unit with the BSCO is requesting anyone with information about the vehicle to come forward.
