HOBBS, NM – A suspect driving a police car was in a crash yesterday after attempting to flee authorities, according to ABC News.
An officer inspected a seemingly abandoned vehicle when several suspects fled to evade him. They were later detained by police, but a female suspect stole a police unit and drove away.
The vehicle later crashed, and the suspect was able to escape custody. The wreck happened sometime after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
It’s unclear whether anyone was hurt in the accident. We will be following this story as it develops.
