News: Single-car accident causes lane closures on I-25

SANTA FE, NM – There were major delays reported on I-25 this morning after a car struck a guardrail and crashed this morning, according to KRQE.

A driver was traveling south on the interstate when their vehicle swerved and crashed into a guardrail near the 280-mile marker. The Santa Fe Police Department arrived at the crash site at about 2:42 a.m.

It’s unclear if the driver was injured. Authorities shut down the highway in the area for several hours until it was reopened at about 1:12 p.m.

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, according to police.
