News: Several vehicle crashes block highway north of Albuquerque

SANDOVAL COUNTY, NM – Multiple passengers were injured this morning after a large accident involving downed trees, according to KOB 4.

Multiple cars were crushed by fallen trees on New Mexico Highway 4 at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. Emergency responders were called to the scene near the 43-mile marker, near Los Alamos.

The Sandoval County Fire Chief reports that every passenger was rescued from the cars and two were hospitalized for minor injuries.

Local crews were able to clear the site of the accidents at 1 p.m. today.
