ESPANOLA, NM – Emergency responders took three teenagers to the hospital after their bus was hit by a truck earlier this week, according to KRQE.

A school bus was dropping children off after school on Tuesday when a truck slammed into it. The impact caused the bus to roll over, injuring several passengers and trapping the driver inside.

Three juvenile passengers were transported to a medical center for treatment.

Espanola police believe that excessive speeding due to drag racing was a factor in the wreck. We will follow this story as it develops.
