ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Several children were injured after a car crashed into their bus yesterday, according to KOAT.
A school bus was heading north on Messina Drive when it was rear-ended by a white Mustang. The crash caused the bus to overturn, injuring the schoolchildren inside.
Albuquerque police reported that the car was racing another Mustang at a speed of 80 miles per hour.
Emergency responders were called to the scene of the wreck after 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of Messina Drive and Gibson Boulevard.
Two passengers aboard the bus received serious injuries. Police report that all victims are in stable condition.
