ROSWELL, NM – A high school football team in New Mexico came to the aid of a driver who had been involved in a car accident on Friday night, KOB 4 reports.

Coach Chris White of Goddard High School in Roswell said his team was on the bus heading for a game against Artesia when they saw a driver go through a red light and crash into a ditch, caused the car to roll over.

Smith said about six of his players got off the bus and flipped the car back over so that the driver was able to escape without being seriously injured. Smith expressed his pride over what his players had done and said the moment was as powerful as anything he had experienced in football. He added that the team’s trainer assisted another driver who had been involved in the accident.
