OTERO COUNTY, NM – A vehicle accident impeded traffic on US-54 over the weekend, according to KVIA.
Emergency responders were called to the scene of the accident on Friday morning near the Texas-New Mexico border. Several lanes of the highway were closed down as a result of the crash.
A helicopter briefly responded to the scene of the crash, but it’s unknown if it was flying a passenger to a hospital.
Additional information about any injuries or damage has yet to be released.
