BLOOMFIELD, NM – Police investigating a car crash in Bloomfield last week said there will be no criminal charges filed against the driver involved, reported the Farmington Daily Times.

This is an update to a previous story.

The accident happened Oct. 8 at the Imagination Station daycare facility on N. 1st Street.  Police and first responders came to the scene after a passenger car went over a curb and crashed into the building.

Police say their investigation has determined that the driver entered the parking lot to pick up children and accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while attempting to park the vehicle.  The driver has not been identified.

One boy sustained injuries in the accident that were not life-threatening.
