News: Pedestrian found dead several hours after crash on I-25 near Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM – Officers discovered a man deceased several hours after responding to a single-vehicle crash on I-25 on Monday morning.

According to KRQE, officers found 40-year-old James Coriz dead on the side of the freeway near St. Francis Drive at about 6:52 a.m.

Police initially responded to a single-vehicle crash at the same location at about 2:42 a.m. However, they did not locate the victim until it was reported by a passerby more than three hours later.

The freeway was shut down for approximately six hours as the crash site was investigated.
