BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM – A passenger was pronounced dead and another was hurt after a truck overturned this afternoon, according to KRQE.
A truck was traveling on Sandia Crest Road when it swerved off the roadway and down the mountain. The wreck took place between the 4 and 5-mile markers of the road, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
One occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased. Emergency responders took another passenger to the hospital for their injuries.
The road has been blocked and motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
Deputies with the BSCO are currently investigating.
