News: Man charged with murder following death of pedestrian in Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM – A man is facing charges following the death of a pedestrian in Santa Fe on Friday, the Santa Fe New Mexican reports.

Police responded to Rufina Street between Zafarano Drive and Richards Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. They were called to the scene for a crash involving a pedestrian, and arrived to find a man who had been struck by a vehicle. The 32-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The incident was labeled as a case of road rage, and 47-year-old Eleazar Flores-Torres was subsequently arrested on multiple charges, including murder and aggravated battery.

Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to contact Santa Fe police.
