ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities have shut down several lanes of traffic following a motor vehicle wreck, according to APD Traffic.

The vehicles crashed while they were traveling west on I-40. Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department arrived at the crash site at 5:52 p.m. today.
The wreck took place near the exit towards Carlisle Boulevard.
Four lanes were shut down after the accident, causing traffic slowdowns up to the highway’s interchange with I-25. There are currently no updates about whether the area has been reopened.
