News: Hit-and-run fatally injures female pedestrian

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A female pedestrian was killed after a vehicle struck her last Wednesday, according to ABQ Journal.

The woman was walking near the intersection of East Central Avenue and Rhode Island Street when she was struck by a black Nissan Altima.

The wreck took place at about 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The Albuquerque Police Department reports that the vehicle departed the scene of the crash before the authorities arrived.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her identity has not yet been released to the public.

The APD is currently investigating the accident and searching for the Nissan’s driver. We will be following this story as it develops.
