News: Hit and run critically injures two pedestrians

ALBUQUERQUE, NM –  A vehicle struck and severely hurt two pedestrians at an intersection yesterday, according to KRQE. 

A vehicle hit two pedestrians and fled the scene at Rio Bravo Boulevard and Isleta Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the site of the accident at about 6:36 p.m. Sunday. One pedestrian had several broken bones and lost consciousness, while the other sustained minor injuries.

Officials shut down Rio Bravo Boulevard in the westbound lanes as local crews cleared the crash site.

The circumstances of the accident are currently unknown as the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
