ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Two people were hospitalized after their car was hit by another vehicle yesterday, KRQE reports.
The driver of a Nissan sedan was heading eastbound down Avenida Cesar Chavez when their car was struck by a Mazda SUV. The Mazda had swerved into the Nissan’s lane, crashing into its side.
Emergency responders were called to the site of the crash at the intersection of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard. They transported the Nissan’s driver and passenger to a local medical center. The driver received critical injuries.
The Mazda’s driver left the scene of the crash and is currently being searched for by authorities. The APD is currently investigating.
