ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One pedestrian was killed on Saturday after they were crossing a road and hit by a car, according to KRQE.
A car was traveling westbound on Zuni Road when it ran over a pedestrian. The pedestrian was attempting to cross the street near San Pablo Street when the wreck happened. The driver departed the scene instead of calling for help.
Authorities were notified of the wreck at about 11:00 p.m. Saturday. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash, in the 7000 block. Their identity has not yet been released.
Investigators believe that error on the part of the pedestrian and excessive speed caused the crash to occur.
