GUADALUPE COUNTY, NM – One person was killed in a large accident that caused traffic slowdowns earlier today, KRQE reports.
Several vehicles were traveling along I-40 when they crashed for unknown reasons. The accident was reported about 4:16 p.m. today, near mile marker 271.
Emergency personnel pronounced one passenger deceased after the crash. It’s unclear whether anyone else sustained injuries.
The highway was closed down in the eastbound lanes and caused major delays.
