TUCUMCARI, NM – Emergency responders transported six passengers to hospitals, one of whom died after a two-vehicle crash, Eastern New Mexico News reports.
A woman was driving on I-40 when her Chevrolet pickup veered into the opposite lane and struck a Honda Pilot vehicle.
EMS responded to the wreck at the 340-mile marker and took both Chevrolet and Honda drivers to hospitals for treatment. The Chevrolet driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The Honda driver received life-threatening injuries.
Four additional occupants of the Honda were all hospitalized but are in stable condition.
