ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A single-vehicle wreck on a highway onramp resulted in the death of a pedestrian last Tuesday, according to KRQE.
A white Dodge truck was traveling onto I-40 from Usner Boulevard at about 5:40 a.m. when the driver saw a pedestrian in the middle of the road. They attempted to avoid the person but struck them with the right side of the vehicle.
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the crash site. That person’s identity is unknown at this time.
The accident resulted in lane closures in the area as authorities worked the scene of the accident.
