News: Bicyclist dies after being hit by vehicle on Grove Street in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in Albuquerque last week, KRQE reports.

The incident occurred Aug. 26 on Grove Street near Zuni Road SE. Albuquerque Police said a bicycle rider was struck by a vehicle that was making a left turn onto Zuni Road.

The bicyclist, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  According to police, the driver said they did not see the bicyclist before the accident happened.

Investigators did not believe that speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the incident.
