ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Albuquerque Police Department said it is investigating a crash Friday night that resulted from an apparent case of road rage.
Police issued a news release regarding the incident in the Foothills Area Command. Officers responded to the area near Montgomery Boulevard and Morris Street shortly before 8 p.m. after a crash involving a white Mercedes sedan. Investigators found that the driver had suffered gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
Witnesses reported gunshots in the area and an argument with someone in another vehicle that occurred at the time of the shots. Police said detectives were called out to investigate the incident as a homicide.
