CIBOLA COUNTY, NM – An elderly man died after his motorcyclist crashed in Cibola County Saturday, the New Mexico State Police reported.
Police were dispatched to the scene on BIA Road 125 near milepost 2 south of Ramah at about 5 p.m.
Investigators determined that 82-year-old George W. McBeath was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle when he went off the roadway and crashed. McBeath, a resident of Pinehill, New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time.
New Mexico State Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and said that alcohol was not a factor.
