SANTA FE, NM – A three-vehicle crash Thursday morning damaged a home in Santa Fe and caused a gas leak, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.
Police said a truck made an illegal turn from West Zia Road onto Yucca Street at about 8:50 a.m. and was struck by an oncoming car. The truck went out of control and crashed into a house on Calle Pacifico. The car that initially hit the truck was then struck from behind by another vehicle.
Two of the drivers were hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The home sustained damage to a wall, and a gas meter was also hit during the wreck, prompting authorities to shut down West Zia Road and Yucca Street.
The intersection reopened about an hour later once the gas dissipated. The driver of the truck was given a traffic citation.
