SANTA FE, NM – A woman was pronounced dead on Wednesday after she was struck by a large commercial vehicle, according to KRQE.
A semi-truck was driving northbound on I-25 when it hit a pedestrian early Wednesday morning. The vehicle fled the scene instead of waiting for authorities.
Police received a call at about 3 p.m. that a woman was dead on the side of I-25, near the 285-mile marker.
New Mexico State Police are working to confirm the identity of the pedestrian. They are also searching for the vehicle involved, a Freightliner Cascadia commercial motor vehicle with possible damage to its front end.
