Multiple people hurt following 6-vehicle crash near Montgomery Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, multiple people were injured in a six-vehicle collision at San Pedro Dr NE and Comanche Rd NE on Monday.

The driver of a Honda Civic was speeding when they sideswiped two cars in the right lane at a red light before hitting an Infiniti sedan. The collision caused the Infiniti to hit a pickup truck. The Civic flew and crashed into an SUV in the left lane.

First responders extricated an elderly man trapped inside a vehicle and transported him to an area hospital. They also took the Civic driver to the hospital in critical condition. The Infiniti driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Driver fatally collides with another vehicle in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, NM – Two people died following a two-vehicle collision at NM-528 and Pasilla Rd NE on Oct. 12, according to KOB.

One of the two vehicles involved was heading east on Pasilla Rd NE and attempted to cross all lanes of NM 528 when they T-boned a vehicle driven by Pat Salerno around 5:05 p.m.

First responders pronounced Joanne Salerno dead at the scene and transported Pat Salerno to an area hospital, where he died.

At least 1 dead following wreck on Shelly Dr SW

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to BCSO, at least one person is dead following a crash on Shelly Dr SW near the Metropolitan Detention Center on Wednesday.

The incident was reported to authorities around 11:56 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
