Multi-vehicle crash on I-25 in Albuquerque leaves 3 injured

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident near downtown Albuquerque on Wednesday night.

According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, emergency crews were dispatched to Interstate 25 at Lomas Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m. They found three vehicles had been involved in the collision, with one of them ending up on its side.

Two people had to be extricated from the vehicles and were transported to the hospital, along with one other injured victim. One person was reported to have suffered serious injuries, while the other two had injuries that were less serious. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Accident causes lane closure on I-40 west at Rio Grande Blvd.

ALBUQUERQUE, NN – Drivers were alerted to a crash slowing traffic on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque on Thursday afternoon.

An advisory posted to NMRoads at 2:10 p.m. reported that the accident happened on I-40 westbound at mile marker 157, in the area of Rio Grande Boulevard and 12th Street.

The left lane was closed on the interstate during the crash response. Motorists were advised to proceed with caution and expect delays through the area.

Vehicle slams into juice shop in Farmington

FARMINGTON, NM – A juice shop in Farmington had to be closed temporarily last week after it was struck by a vehicle, according to KOB.

The incident took place Nov. 4 at Arkin’s Juice Tavern on East Main Street. Police said a woman was driving a vehicle when she had a seizure and crashed through a wall of the shop.

No one was injured in the accident but the business, which had been open for just over a year, is shut down while the owners repair the damage.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with driving with a revoked license, having an open container, and reckless driving.
