Multi-vehicle crash closes lane on I-25 NB at NM-16 in Santa Fe County

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning on Interstate 25, southwest of Santa Fe, according to NM Roads.

The accident impacted the northbound lanes of I-25 from mile markers 264 (New Mexico State Road 16) and 266, less than two miles south of County Road 57. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 8:32 a.m.

Officials have not disclosed the events leading up to the crash, but at the time of the report, crews were working to clear the scene. Motorists were instructed to use extra caution as they proceed through the area. Delays were expected.

As of 10:45 a.m., more than three hours later, northbound I-25 remained closed from mile markers 264 to 266.

No information regarding a possible cause of the crash or potential injuries has been made available.
