Motorcyclist suffers severe injuries in wreck on NM-333 near east Tijeras

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — A motorcyclist was hospitalized Friday after a crash with another vehicle on New Mexico State Road 333 near Tijeras, reports KRQE.

Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at Mountain Valley Road, south of Interstate 40, at about 9:00 p.m.

The sequence of events leading up to the accident remain unclear, but the driver of the motorcycle was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.

No one else has been reported injured.

All eastbound and westbound lanes of NM-333 were blocked in the area for about two hours before reopening at 11:00 p.m.

As of this writing, officials have not shared further information.
