Motorcyclist killed in crash on NM 528 in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, NM – A collision in Rio Rancho on Monday morning claimed the life of a motorcycle rider, according to KRQE.

Police said the motorcyclist was involved in a crash with a vehicle on New Mexico 528. The highway was shut down between Sara Road and Barbara Loop for the accident response and investigation.

No information was released on the victim’s identity. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.

BCSO responds to crash on Central Avenue in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a crash in northwest Albuquerque on Wednesday evening.

In a traffic alert posted at 5:43 p.m., the BCSO stated that deputies were dispatched to the area of Central Avenue NE and 47th Street NW.

The #1 westbound lane was temporarily closed at 52nd Street while the accident was being cleared. Motorists were advised to use caution when travelling through the area.

An update at 7:12 p.m. stated that all lanes were back open.

Pedestrian accident blocks lane on North Main Street in Roswell

ROSWELL, NM – Police and first responders were called to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in Roswell on Monday afternoon.

The collision occurred on North Main Street just south of Wilshire Boulevard at 2:35 p.m, according to the Roswell Police Department. No details were released on the condition of the pedestrian.

The southbound lanes on North Main Street were reduced to one lane while police and the Roswell Fire Department worked at the scene. Drivers were urged to use caution in the area.
