ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A motorcyclist died Tuesday after rear-ending a city transit van near the Rio Grande in Albuquerque’s Barelas neighborhood, according to KRQE.
The fatal incident occurred at the intersection of Avenida Dolores Huerta and the river, south of Downtown.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but an early investigation indicates the motorcyclist struck the back of the transit vehicle.
Albuquerque Police confirmed the rider died of their injuries.
Two people aboard the van, including the driver, were not reported injured in the event.
